While Edd has pretty much been the “better man” in the whole debacle, this video of a candid Mike Brewer at a car meet paints a very different picture.

I trust the mechanic, not the used car salesman.

No, Edd became a tv celebrity in his own right as a mechanic that had a passion for what he did, unlike Mike who wanted to be a celebrity but will never be more than someone you laugh at and not with.
Mike just sounds bitter and I hope Edd stays the bigger man and laughs it off.

To be honest, I only watched the show for Edd. Mike always came off as annoying. He was like the “Don’t low ball me” Craigslist guy yet....he low balled everyone he bought from.

Mike is delusional. The very fact that he started doing bits of the job himself (poorly) just shows that his trips to the parts store were not nearly as interesting as the actual wrenching on the car. I always FF’d through his segments to get to Edd’s segments. It was a good show, but it’s run its course. Mike needs to realize that and move on to something else, like Edd has done.

Edd is the better man, Mikey is the bitter man. I don’t think I was going to watch with Edd gone anyways, now I’m definitely not.

Mike has been a fucking scumbag this whole time while Edd tried to lay low. The bad stuff that Edd did was not turn over on his belly and let his credibility get destroyed for the sake of profit. What sucks in this whole thing even more that a good show was killed is that in the long run Mike is going to drag Antz down with him.

Mike comes off as the manger who would yell out “you should feel lucky to have this job”
My guess is Edd asked the studio for more money as he thought (and is IMHO) the star of the show, and Mike got all butthurt. Now Mike is doing a giant tour of car events trying to rake in as much money as he can before everyone forgets who he is.

The show was pretty much about Edd, while mike was just thrown in there for extra scenes. Mike looks like he knows absolutely nothing about cars, but then again, he’s on a car show. But if something’s wrong with my car, I’d trust Edd rather than mike

WTMF, Mike!?
I was going to at least give a shot, but seriously...what was so damn wrong with being comic relief to Edd’s straight guy?

Unless Edd found a pound of blow under the dash of a white ‘84 Countach they bought to restore and then went on a 72-hour drug induced orgy of whores, bestiality and assorted degenerate behavior I don’t think so Mikey. Even then he still wouldn’t be a scumbag used car salesman.

Surely we should be able to trust Mike.
I mean it says so on his car dealership website.

I agree that Edd has been the bigger man in all this, and like so many (everybody?) I only watched the show for Edd’s segment of it, which was fantastic ... most of the time :). I do have to wonder if there’s a wee bit of truth in what Mike is saying, and maybe Edd wasn’t interested in doing all the dirty work any more? The truth is usually somewhere in between what both sides say, and I have no doubt that it’s much closer to Edd’s accounting than Mike’s, but I bet there’s a kernel of truth to what Mike is saying here.
